1. No advertising tracking
heypster does not use GIFs provided by studios to create advertising profiles of users. We do not sell users’ personal data to advertisers, and we do not retain search histories for advertising targeting.
2. Strictly necessary data
Operating Content Partners may require the processing of professional information related to the partner account: the identity and contact details of representatives, login and security information, information necessary for billing, support requests, evidence of rights, and information necessary to manage content and reports.
This information is processed only when necessary for the operation, security, and administration of the service, performance of the contract, or compliance with our legal obligations.
3. GIF search and use
In keeping with heypster’s longstanding philosophy, we seek to limit data related to GIF search and usage to what is strictly necessary. Partner content is not turned into trackers that allow users to be followed across other services.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
heypster does not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking technologies to build marketing profiles. Where strictly necessary technical mechanisms are required for security, authentication, or operation of a partner area, they are limited to that purpose.
5. Hosting and recipients
heypster limits access to data to the people and service providers who need it to provide and secure the service. heypster’s longstanding policy states that its services are provided from servers located in France. Any material change concerning hosting or data transfers must be reflected in this policy.
6. Retention period
Data related to the partner account is retained for the period necessary for the contractual relationship and then for the periods required to meet accounting, tax, security, evidentiary, or other legal obligations. Evidence and reports relating to rights may be retained for as long as necessary to defend the rights of heypster or third parties.
7. Your rights
Where the GDPR applies, data subjects may exercise, subject to the conditions provided by law, their rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and portability, as well as any other applicable rights. Requests may be sent to media@heypster.com. A complaint may also be lodged with the CNIL, the French data protection authority.
8. Security
heypster implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect data necessary for the service against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no connected service can guarantee absolute security.
9. Controller and applicable law
The service is operated by heypster SAS, 819 320 318 R.C.S. Laval, registered office: 14 rue du Maine, 53950 Louverné, France. The French version of this policy prevails in the event of any discrepancy with a translation.
